Sky News’ new foreign affairs programme The World will launch on Monday 22nd January 2024.
The programme will be fronted by former BBC News chief presenter Yalda Hakim from 9.00pm, Monday to Thursdays.
Yalda will interview leaders and news makers, holding some of the world’s most powerful to account.
Each evening, a special guest panel will join Yalda live in the studio for conversation and analysis that explores the issues defining our times.
“I am honoured to be launching our new prime time foreign affairs show, The World,” Yalda said.
“I have long admired Sky for its smart, fearless and world-class reporting and I’m excited to be showcasing our exceptional journalism on the programme. We will be holding ourselves to the highest standards of integrity.
“Our only commitment is to hold accountable those in power and to try to share the stories that matter most – and let the viewer, decide for themselves.
“I look forward to giving my all as part of one of the most talented and accomplished news teams anywhere.”
The launch of the World with Yalda Hakim builds on Sky News’ new primetime output with The Politics Hub and The UK Tonight, which both launched last year.
