Piers Morgan is leaving Good Morning Britain.

In a statement, ITV said: “Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain.

Piers walked off the set of Good Morning Britain this morning as co-presenter Alex Beresford branded his behaviour “diabolical”.

Morgan guest-hosted five episodes of Good Morning Britain on ITV in April 2015 and became a permanent co-host in November 2015, appearing alongside Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins.
