BBC News presenter Rebecca Jones has left the corporation.

In a post on X, Jones said: “Today is my last day @BBCNews.

“After 28 years & 21 years as Arts Correspondent I’ve decided to leave.

“Thanks to my amazing & talented colleagues. You are the best. And thank you to everyone for listening, watching and reading my work. More to come …”

Rebecca was the main presenter for ITV Anglia News from 1991-1997, before joining the BBC News Channel in 1997.

After four years at the channel, Rebecca became a foreign correspondent based in Berlin, and a year later, in 2002, was named the BBC’s Art correspondent.
