Chris Rogers is set to join GB News Breakfast as an Editor.

He will join from Fresh Start Media, the production company he co-founded to make various programmes including FYI, a news show for young people broadcast on Sky News.

Rogers has won many awards, including a BAFTA, for his hard-hitting investigations and documentaries for BBC Panorama, Newsnight, and ITV Tonight.

He started out at 19 as a presenter of Newsround before joining Sky News, ITV News and the BBC.

“The opportunity to take one of the UK’s fastest-growing morning news programmes to the next level is an absolute gift,” said Rogers.

“My life as a journalist has had one aim, to give people a voice.

“GB News set out to do exactly that, so I’ve admired it since launch for creating an approach to news where British people are heard, included, and informed without an agenda.”

GB News Breakfast is fronted by Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster during the week, and with Stephen Dixon and Anne Diamond on weekends.

Head of Programmes at GB News, Ben Briscoe, added: “Chris has a deep understanding of the stories that really matter to people.

“We have ambitious plans for Breakfast, which has started to beat its rivals consistently, and Chris is the perfect leader to help us execute them.”
